Diesel's Mr. Daddy line has never pretended to be understated, and the DZ7421 makes no apology for that. The 57mm case is the whole point of the exercise: a watch built around the idea that a dial can carry multiple time zones and still be read at a glance, with enough real estate to spread the chronograph registers and world-time display without crowding. On the wrist the proportions are unapologetically large, and the 28mm bracelet is wide enough that it actually suits the case rather than dangling beneath it. The matte silver finish keeps the whole thing from reading as flashy despite the scale — it sits as a working tool with the volume turned up rather than as something that catches light for the sake of it.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
