The Maestro's defining proposition is thinness without compromise: the GCA 3002 inside measures 3.7mm on its own, and the finished case comes in at 8.7mm — unusually slender for a watch rated to 100 metres, and slim enough to disappear under a shirt cuff in a way that most dress-capable automatics cannot manage. That movement was developed in collaboration with Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier, one of the most respected movement houses in Switzerland, and the bridges carry côtes de Genève, colimaçon and perlage finishing that the caseback exists to show off. The cushion case shape is Gerald Charles's own signature form — neither round nor square, and immediately recognisable for it — and in 18K rose gold it reads warmer than the standard steel sibling. The chocolate brown sunburst dial shifts register depending on the angle: cooler in flat light, amber in direct sun, and the applied batons catch both. The rubber strap picks up the same brown and carries the Clous de Paris texture also found on the crown, so the material choices read as deliberate rather than incidental. A polished rose gold pin buckle closes it, engraved with the GC logo on the inside face.
