Stepping up in Gucci's range
The Model 2000 line was built for the Cruise 2025 collection around codes lifted directly from Gucci's own archives — Roman numerals at the quarter-hours in red, interlocking G at twelve, a fluted crown carrying the house emblem, guilloché worked across the silver dial. The green-red-green resin stripes running along the case sides are a direct quotation from the web strap that has appeared on Gucci accessories for decades. At 30mm, this sits as an accessory as much as a timepiece, and the red leather strap carries that logic through: the colour does not accent the watch so much as complete it. The sword hands and red inner minutes ring keep the dial readable without disturbing the decorative balance.

Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.
