Gucci Model 2000 watch, 30mm

The Model 2000 arrived with the Cruise 2025 collection, carrying what Gucci describes as archival house codes — the interlocking Gs at twelve, Roman numerals at three, six and nine, a fluted crown bearing the Gucci emblem, and shrouded lugs that give the case a vintage silhouette without pretending to be one. The guilloché work on the dial adds texture that shifts with the angle of the light, keeping a black surface from reading as flat. At 30mm it sits quietly on a narrower wrist, the black resin case accents and leather strap pulling everything into a single tonal register. The sword hands and silver inner minutes ring are the only interruption to that darkness, which is enough.
