The Jazzmaster line has long been Hamilton's answer to the dress watch, and the Open Heart variant takes that brief in a particular direction: rather than closing off the movement behind a finished dial, it cuts an aperture above the balance wheel, letting the oscillation show through. The grey gradient finish on the surrounding dial is purposeful — the smoky sunray graduation frames the opening and draws the eye inward without the dial feeling busy. At 11.1mm thick, it wears closer to the wrist than most dress watches with skeleton work, which often run deeper to accommodate the display. The H-10 inside is Hamilton's own take on the ETA A31, built around a Nivachron balance spring that resists both magnetic fields and temperature variation better than traditional alloys — useful in the everyday environments a watch like this actually meets. The 80-hour power reserve means a watch worn Monday to Friday will survive the weekend without winding, and the exhibition caseback makes the rotor worth looking at.
