The Competizione line takes its name from Maserati's racing heritage, and the brief here was clearly to bring that automotive drama to the wrist rather than the track. The combination of a fluted yellow-gold PVD bezel against the deep blue dial is the central gesture — a palette that borrows from the marque's more extravagant road cars rather than anything understated. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
