The Competizione series is Maserati's attempt to carry the character of the car brand into a wearable object — not the formal side of the marque but the driving one, the cockpit aesthetic rather than the showroom one. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
