The Epoca collection exists to carry Maserati's automotive character into something worn rather than driven, and this chronograph makes that translation plainly. The green sunburst dial is the piece that does most of the work: it shifts between deep forest and bright olive depending on the angle of the light, and the trident at six o'clock sits there less as decoration than as a reminder of what the collection is referencing. At 11.35mm thick it sits low enough on the wrist to pass under a cuff, which matters for a 42mm case that might otherwise read as purely casual. The bracelet closes with a two-button folding clasp and wears securely; link adjustment is straightforward if the fit needs correcting. The Miyota JS20 inside is a workhorse chronograph calibre, chosen here because it runs accurately and needs almost nothing from its owner over years of daily use.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
21mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
