Stepping up in the same colour and case shape
The Independence collection is where Norqain has consistently pushed its case hardest, and this skeleton variant makes the argument most visibly. The case is Grade 5 titanium beneath the DLC coating, which brings the entire watch — strap included — to 82 grams: light enough that the wrist adjusts quickly and the watch stops announcing itself by its weight. At 11.8mm it sits flatter than most skeletons at this diameter, and the movement architecture underneath is the NB08S, a Sellita SW200-1S brought to COSC chronometer standard and given a personalised rotor — so the visible mechanics are not merely decorative but certified to perform. The dial is where the restraint of the all-black approach is most honestly tested, and it holds up. The openworked movement is fully blacked out, which could easily collapse into an illegible smear, but red gold-plated hands and faceted indices cut with diamond-finishing maintain enough contrast to read at a glance. The central seconds hand carries a red-tipped end that echoes the hand colour without overstating it, and the X1 Super-LumiNova fill means the watch remains useful after dark. On the left flank, a titanium plate is engraved and removable — Norqain's way of letting owners mark the watch as specifically theirs, and the one detail that makes this feel less like a category exercise and more like something considered.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.
How long does it run for when it's not worn?
About 41 hours fully wound — enough to survive a night off the wrist, but not a full weekend.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 48.75mm, which suits wrists from roughly 16.5cm (6½ inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as unisex, and at this size it suits any wrist that takes the dimensions.
