Police Forever Batman Black Leather Strap Watch - Limited Edition - W44146
Ref. PEWGD0022602
A collaboration between Police and DC, the Forever Batman is a limited run of 10,000 pieces worldwide — a number small enough to mean something without being precious about it. The brief was clearly to make the character legible on the wrist rather than merely suggested, and the result commits: a 3D Batman logo sits prominently on the dial, the gold PVD case frames it with deliberate drama, and the DC and Police emblems share the space without apology. At 45mm the watch makes no attempt at restraint, and it reads as a casual lifestyle piece rather than a dress watch in fancy dress. The black textured leather on a pin buckle is the right call — a bracelet would have pushed the whole thing further than it needs to go. The dial's backlight, triggered by a dedicated button, illuminates the full face for night reading: a function that suits the theme without being purely cosmetic.

Learn more about Police
Police began in Italy in 1983 as an eyewear brand under the Vogue and later De Rigo groups, and built its identity on sunglasses worn by film and music figures through the 1980s and 1990s.
The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a specialist watch manufacturer and sold through jewellers and department stores alongside the eyewear and fragrance.
Design follows the label: heavy cases, dark PVD finishes, exposed screws and industrial detailing, skull and heraldic motifs, and a masculine, deliberately loud aesthetic that changes with the season rather than the decade.
Movements are quartz, occasionally multi-function, and prices sit in the fashion-watch bracket.
Taken as an accessory that matches a particular look, the range does what it sets out to. It is not a watchmaking company and does not present itself as one.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
