Stepping up in Radley's range
Radley's Series 21 is a wellness-first smartwatch dressed as a piece of jewellery — the oval case and cranberry silicone strap read as an accessory before they read as a fitness tracker. At 25mm wide with a 50mm lug-to-lug, the case is narrow enough to wear comfortably on a slender wrist without feeling undersized, and at 37 grams it barely registers. The touchscreen displays Radley's Scottie dog motif as the default watch face, which signals the brand clearly, but the dial is fully customisable. Behind it the movement handles sleep analysis, hydration reminders, breathing prompts, step and heart rate tracking, and fourteen sports modes, all feeding into the companion app over Bluetooth. A full charge takes around two hours and runs to four days of typical use.

Learn more about Radley
Radley London was founded in 1998 as a handbag brand, and named for the founder's Scottish terrier. The dog became the logo, and remains the single most recognisable thing about the label — stamped, embossed, or hanging from a bag as a leather charm.
The watches are licensed rather than manufactured in-house, produced by a specialist watch maker under agreement and sold through the same department stores and jewellers as the bags.
They are designed as accessories to the accessories: slim cases, printed or textured dials, coloured leather straps, and the terrier appearing on the dial, the caseback or the strap keeper. Quartz movements, gift-market pricing.
Radley is a well-run British accessories brand and its watches are exactly what the label suggests they are — coordinated, characterful and inexpensive, rather than horological.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
No. This watch carries no water resistance rating — keep it dry, and take it off before washing your hands.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
16mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 50mm, which suits wrists from roughly 16.5cm (6½ inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's.
