The PRX case dates to 1978, and Tissot brought it back in 2021 into the crowded sport-integrated-bracelet category that had grown up around it in the intervening decades. This light-green variant arrived in 2024, and the waffle-textured dial is deliberate shorthand: across the PRX family, the automatic models carry the texture while the quartz siblings use a sunburst finish, so the dial alone tells you what is driving the hands. The Powermatic 80.111 underneath is built on the ETA 2824 platform but with meaningful amendments — the balance wheel is Nivachron alloy, which resists magnetic fields and temperature swings better than a conventional wheel and tightens accuracy as a result. The 80-hour reserve means the watch will sit through a long weekend without winding, and the exhibition caseback means you can see the work. Where the specifications need a caveat: the official lug-to-lug figure is understated because the first bracelet link does not articulate, making the practical length closer to 51mm. On smaller wrists that matters more than the 40mm diameter suggests, and it is worth knowing before you buy.
