Aston Martin traces that founding year as the origin of everything the marque stood for in competition, and placing it at the centre of a champagne dial with motorsport sub-dials is a deliberate attempt to carry that era forward into something worn rather than driven. The perforated tan leather is the detail that commits the watch to its theme most convincingly — the texture lifts directly from a racing glove, and against the gold-tone case and warm champagne dial it reads as a coherent set rather than an assembly of parts.
