The effect is total: the same crinkled geometry carries across the bracelet into the case without a visible join, so the watch reads as a single sculpted object rather than a case with a bracelet attached. At 44mm and only 12mm thick it sits flatter than the visual weight suggests, which keeps it wearable despite the presence it commands. The sunray gold dial catches light differently depending on angle, shifting from pale champagne in shade to a deeper burnished tone in direct light — practical enough with the date window and luminous hands, but clearly not the point of the exercise.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
