Diesel's Mega Chief has always treated proportion as provocation — a case this large exists to be noticed, and the DZ4329 commits fully to that position with a 59mm footprint and a gunmetal PVD finish that reads darker and colder than standard steel. The blue dial sits behind that grey casing in a combination that works better than it has any right to: the cool tones pull together rather than clash, and the chronograph subdials give the eye somewhere to settle across a lot of surface area. On the wrist this is unambiguously a large watch, suited to a broader wrist that can carry the width without the bracelet gaping. The deployment clasp handles the weight — around 205 grams — reliably, and the bracelet width matches the case so the whole thing reads as one piece rather than a head dropped onto a narrower band.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
