The Maestro line has always sat at the intersection of Swiss movement craft and athletic utility, but this edition makes that tension explicit. Limited to 200 pieces, it was designed in direct consultation with professional tennis players — the left-hand crown placement is not an aesthetic choice but a functional one, moving the winder to the opposite side of the case so it never presses into the wrist during a backswing. The optic yellow dial, textured with a porous, grainy finish that reads unmistakably as a tennis ball, carries the theme without becoming a costume. At 39mm across and 9mm deep, the titanium case wears considerably lighter than those numbers suggest: 64 grams including the strap, with the ErgonTeq® geometry distributing that weight across the lug-to-lug span rather than concentrating it at the centre. The integrated Velcro® fabric strap shares the dial's yellow and the rubberised underlining handles sweat without compromise. Beneath the sapphire caseback, the GCA 3002 — developed at Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier — runs at 4Hz through a twin-barrel 50-hour reserve, and its open-worked rotor carries a geometric pattern marking Gerald Charles' 25th anniversary: a detail that rewards the owner who thinks to look.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch

Can I swim with it?

Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.

Will the glass scratch?

Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.

Does it need a battery?

No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.

How long does it run for when it's not worn?

About 50 hours fully wound — enough to survive a night off the wrist, but not a full weekend.

What size strap does it take?

22mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.

Will it fit my wrist?

Lug-to-lug is 46.80mm, which suits wrists from roughly 16cm (6¼ inches) upward.

Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.

Is it a men's or women's watch?

Listed as men's.
