Ref. 80484D52A401-CK4E
Sits in Girard-Perregaux’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Girard-Perregaux watches we list, which start at £7,900.
Price range £7,900 to £146,000 across 29 Girard-Perregaux watches in stock. The Cat's Eye collection has been Girard-Perregaux's dedicated feminine line since 2004, built around a signature oval case that bears no direct equivalent among Swiss dress watches. This Plum Blossom edition layers a botanical theme across the entire design: the small-seconds hand at nine o'clock is cut in the shape of a plum blossom and rotates slowly across the blue aventurine dial, the crown is formed as a flower, and through the sapphire caseback the openworked rotor — hand-finished in a petal pattern from rose gold — continues the motif into the movement itself. Aventurine glass does something no painted or lacquered dial can: the suspended copper particles catch light differently at every angle, giving the dial the quality of a clear sky with depth rather than a flat surface. Against that, 62 brilliant-cut diamonds set into the bezel add brightness at the perimeter without competing with what is happening across the dial. At 35.40 by 30.40mm the oval sits comfortably on a smaller wrist, and the blue alligator strap — matched precisely to the dial — keeps the whole composition coherent from case to clasp.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
No. At 30m it will survive rain and handwashing, but not submersion of any kind.
Will the glass scratch?
Unlikely. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness and shrugs off everyday marking.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is automatic — the motion of your wrist winds it, and there is no cell to replace.
How long does it run for when it's not worn?
About 46 hours fully wound — enough to survive a night off the wrist, but not a full weekend.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as women's, though at 35mm it sits in the range that suits anyone.
Cheapest place to buy
Goldsmiths is the only UK retailer we track stocking this reference, so there is nothing to compare it against today.
Who are Goldsmiths?
Goldsmiths has been selling watches in Britain since 1778 and is part of the Watches of Switzerland Group, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are an authorised dealer, so a watch comes with the manufacturer’s own warranty.
