The Model 2000 belongs to Gucci's Cruise 2025 collection, a line the house uses to revisit its own archive rather than reach outward for a collaboration. The guillochè dial — an engraving technique that predates quartz movements by a century — sits in deliberate tension with what is otherwise a very modern, undemanding piece. At 24mm on a black leather strap, this is a watch for a narrow wrist that wants something understated. The Roman numerals and house logo keep the dial legible without turning it into a logo exercise, and the black resin stripes at the case flanks are the one place the design risks a little more.
