Maserati R8873612058 Traguardo Chronograph Bracelet Watch - W81244
Ref. R8873612058
Sits in Maserati’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Maserati watches we list, which start at £104.
Price range £104 to £419 across 106 Maserati watches in stock.Traguardo — the Italian word for finish line — names a collection built around Maserati's motorsport identity, and this piece leans into that brief without apology. The crown guards, the three sub-dials and the skeletonised layout between them are all drawn from the visual language of the timing equipment that sits at racing circuits rather than from conventional watch design. At 45mm the case sits wide on the wrist, and at 13mm it is not a watch that disappears under a cuff, nor is it trying to. The gold PVD and the contrasting black bezel give it a particular kind of boldness that suits the intention — this is emphatically decorative sportswear, and the matte-and-polish combination on the bracelet adds enough surface variety to stop the all-gold palette feeling flat. The deployant clasp is push-button, but the bracelet adjusts on friction pins rather than screws, which is worth knowing before you size it.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
22mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
