Nivada Grenchen F77 MK2 38mm Mens Watch Black
Ref. 68035A77
Sits in Nivada Grenchen’s upper tier here — more premium than three quarters of the Nivada Grenchen watches we list, which start at £560.
Price range £560 to £2,310 across 30 Nivada Grenchen watches in stock. The F77 traces back to 1977, when angular integrated-bracelet sports watches were at the front of Swiss design — the octagonal bezel and flush bracelet placing it in the same current as the Royal Oak, if not the same tier. Nivada Grenchen relaunched the line in 2023 after its broader revival, and the Mark II represents a considered second pass: the lugs gained curvature, the profile came down to 12.2mm from 12.65mm, drilled lugs arrived for strap changes, and the dial was quietly refined — Dauphine hands replacing batons, applied indices replacing printed ones, the date window removed, the seconds hand straightened. That dial is the detail worth dwelling on. Cut from natural black onyx rather than lacquered or sunburst-finished steel, it absorbs light rather than playing with it, which gives the silver Dauphine hands and applied indices an unusually clean readability. At 38mm with a 46.2mm lug-to-lug, the case is sized to disappear under a cuff, and the slimmer profile means it does so more readily than the first version. The movement inside is a Soprod P024, a Swiss-made alternative to the ETA 2824-2 running at 28,800 vph — nothing exotic, but solid and independently serviceable, which suits a watch built as an everyday piece rather than an occasion.
