The Marlin line traces back to Timex's 1960s dress watches, and the Jet branch of it takes the space-age optimism of that era seriously rather than just borrowing its colour palette. The defining move is the Hesalite crystal, which doesn't sit on top of the case but flows across the entire upper surface, absorbing the bezel into its dome and giving the watch the sealed, capsule-like profile that mid-century industrial designers were reaching for. The concentric circle detailing — worked into the inner bezel, the crown and the exhibition caseback — reads as a considered decision rather than decoration, and the caseback mirrors the dome's curve so the profile holds from every angle. At 38mm it sits modestly, and the silver-white concave dial with its crosshair layout keeps the face open without feeling sparse. The 24-hour subdial at nine o'clock is the only functional complication, handled quietly. The blue perlon strap is the right call against the brushed and polished steel — woven, lightweight, and the kind of thing that breathes in warm weather in a way a standard leather strap does not.
