The Seastar 1000 has been through a quiet but meaningful revision. The previous generation ran at 43mm, which put it at the larger end of wearable and sat heavily on moderate wrists. This new edition pulls the case back to 40mm and adds a notched edge along the case sides — a small change that sharpens the silhouette considerably. The grey-to-black graduated dial is particular to this reference within the five-model release; the others go blue, bi-colour or full black PVD. At 46mm lug-to-lug and 12.5mm thick, this sits in an unusual position for a 300m-rated watch: genuinely slim enough to disappear under a cuff, with slightly curved lugs that hug the wrist rather than bridge it. The bracelet tapers and releases on quick-release bars, which makes swapping straightforward. Inside, the Powermatic 80 — an ETA 2824 variant built with a Nivachron balance spring that resists magnetic interference — runs an 80-hour reserve, long enough that leaving it off over a weekend costs nothing on Monday morning.
