The PRX case shape dates to 1978, and the line has been revived and extended steadily since; this ice-blue dial variant arrived in 2023 as a colour addition to the permanent Powermatic 80 family. What makes the dial more than a palette swap is the Clous de Paris texture — the fine waffle-grid catches light at an angle in a way a plain sunray surface does not, giving the blue somewhere between warmth and depth depending on where you are standing. At 40mm wide and 10.93mm thick, this is a genuinely slim watch for what it is, and the integrated bracelet only adds to that — the case flows into the links without a visual break, so the whole thing reads as a single flat object on the wrist rather than a case sitting on top of a strap. The bracelet articulates well from new, no stiffness to work out of it, and at 138g the overall weight feels balanced rather than absent. The movement inside is an upgraded ETA 2824-2 base, running at 21,600 vph with a Nivachron antimagnetic hairspring — it is the anti-magnetic protection that earns the most in everyday wear, where proximity to phones and bags is unavoidable. The 80-hour reserve is visible through the exhibition caseback, and means a watch left on the nightstand Friday morning will still be running Monday.
