The PRX line began as a 1978 Tissot design — a slim integrated case that reads more like a luxury sports watch than the movement price would suggest — and this 2024 extension brings the format a gradient waffle dial that shifts between ice blue and something closer to white depending on the angle of the light. That interplay is not printed onto a flat surface; the texture of the dial does the work, catching and scattering light in a way that changes as the wrist moves. At 40mm with a 44mm lug-to-lug span and a measured thickness of around 10.8mm, this wears closer to the wrist than the case diameter alone implies. The integrated bracelet is angled at the lugs rather than falling straight, so it follows the curve of the wrist rather than bridging across it — a detail that matters more in person than in photographs. Beneath the exhibition caseback, the Powermatic 80 runs on a Nivachron hairspring, which resists both magnets and temperature swings without needing demagnetisation, and the 80-hour reserve means a watch set down on Friday is still running Monday morning.
