Diesel's Mr. Daddy line has always operated at an extreme — watches built to be seen before anything else, sized well beyond convention and worn as a deliberate provocation. The DZ7371 sits firmly in that tradition: at 57mm wide and 66mm tall, it does not fit the wrist so much as dominate it, with the gold PVD case and studded leather strap reading as a single designed object rather than two components that happened to meet. What this watch actually does well is legibility. A black dial at this scale gives the chronograph subdials and the four time zone displays room to breathe in a way a conventional 42mm case never could, and the contrast between the dark dial and gold case furniture makes the whole thing easy to read at a glance despite the visual noise. It suits someone who wants presence from a watch and has the build and the wardrobe to carry 57mm without it looking borrowed.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
