The G-Frame line has been Gucci's answer to the rectangular dress watch since the house turned its attention to watchmaking in the early 1970s, and the defining move is structural: bevelled edges cut around the case to create a low pyramid profile that catches light from every angle and reads as jewellery without pretending to be anything else. The pink sunray dial places Roman numerals at 12 and 6 only, which keeps the face clean, and the two brilliant-cut diamonds set at 3 and 9 do the work that indices would otherwise do — marking the half-hours without adding visual noise. The interlocking G motif and the fluted, signed crown are small but deliberate assertions of the house identity, the kind of detail that lands only on close inspection.
