Stepping up in Gucci's range
The G-Frame is Gucci's small rectangular dress watch, and this reference wears the house's Web stripe colours — the green, red and blue that have run through Gucci's accessories since the 1950s — across a dial just 14 by 25mm. It reads less as a watch face than as a sliver of fabric on the wrist, which is clearly what it was designed to do. At that width it sits entirely beneath a cuff and adds almost nothing to the stack on the wrist, which suits the piece: hour and minute hands only, no seconds, no date, nothing to interrupt the three index lines and the stripe beneath the crystal.

Guccio Gucci opened a leather goods shop in Florence in 1921, and the house became one of the defining Italian luxury brands of the twentieth century.
Gucci's watches occupy unusual ground. Unlike most fashion houses, Gucci produces in Switzerland through its own facility in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and the watches carry Swiss Made designation. The G-Timeless line uses Swiss quartz and automatic movements, and recent references have included in-house-adjacent complications.
The design language is unmistakably Gucci — the green-red-green web stripe, the interlocking Gs, bee and snake motifs — applied to cases that are generally well proportioned. It sits above the licensed-fashion category without claiming to compete with the Swiss manufactures.
