ID Genève Circular 1 Minerals Dark Textured Dial 41mm

ID Genève built the Circular 1 around a single proposition: that the materials supply chain for a Swiss automatic watch could be made comprehensible and defensible. The steel comes from the Swiss Jura, recycled and traceable; the strap is a vegetal textile rather than leather; the movement is a refurbished ETA 2824 given a second working life rather than a new one drawn from stock. Even the packaging is home-compostable, made from mycelium. Every decision points the same way, and the watch wears that coherence without making it heavy. At 9.65mm the case sits surprisingly close to the wrist for a 41mm watch, and the laser-engraved dial reads as texture rather than pattern — something that shifts under changing light in a way a printed surface does not. The refurbished 2824 is a practical choice as well as a principled one: it is a movement with a long service network behind it, and choosing a proven calibre that already exists over commissioning a new one is consistent with the whole logic of the piece.
