Stepping up in Maserati's range
The Potenza collection draws its brief directly from Maserati's design language — not as a gesture toward motorsport but as a literal translation of it. The case departs from a simple round form through structural flanks that give it an angular, almost octagonal character, and the oversized trident that anchors the dial reinforces the point without subtlety. Gold PVD against deep blue is a combination that reads boldly in good light and holds legibility through the contrast it creates between the dial and the metal hands and indices. At 42mm with 24mm lugs, this wears with real presence and suits a broader wrist. The leather strap is a practical choice at this case width — it softens what would otherwise be a purely assertive package and makes daily wear easier than a matching metal bracelet would.

Learn more about Maserati
The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Yes. At 100m it is rated for swimming and snorkelling, though not for diving.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
24mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
