The Successo line is Maserati's attempt to carry the brand's automotive character directly onto the wrist — not as a licensed afterthought but as something that reads like a cockpit instrument, with the Trident sitting at twelve and a sunray blue dial that shifts between deep navy and something close to electric under raking light. Gold-tone hands and applied indices hold enough contrast against that blue to be read quickly, which is the point of a chronograph face. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
