The Competizione carries a 43mm case in 316L stainless steel, slim at 11.2mm deep, with a polished fluted fixed bezel and a screw-down case back engraved on the reverse. The sunbrushed black dial arranges three sub-dials across its face: date at three o'clock, a 24-hour display at six, and day of the week at nine. Dauphine hands and baton indices carry a luminous coating for low-light reading. The 22mm bracelet combines brushed outer links with polished inner links, fastening with a Maserati-signed deployant clasp with a safety lock. A knurled screw-down crown carries the Trident logo. Mineral crystal sits over the dial, and the watch is rated to 100 metres.

The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
Movements are quartz and bought-in automatic. The appeal is the association and the styling rather than the mechanics.
