The Successo line is Maserati's clearest attempt to carry the trident onto the wrist in a way that reads as genuinely automotive rather than merely branded — the dial's matte blue texture and prominent trident indices draw on the instrument panels and livery of the cars rather than reaching for generic sports-watch visual language. At 44mm across and only 12mm deep, it wears more quietly than those dimensions suggest. The Maserati brothers founded their workshop in Bologna in 1914 and built racing cars that won the Targa Florio and the Indianapolis 500. The trident emblem comes from the Fountain of Neptune in Bologna.
The watches are a licensed line produced by Morellato Group in Italy, not by the carmaker. They draw openly on automotive design: tachymeter bezels, perforated leather straps recalling racing gloves, dashboard-style dials, and case shapes referencing grilles and instrument binnacles.
