Stepping up in Police's range
A 44mm case at 12mm deep sits closer to slim than the size suggests — most watches that fill this much dial real estate carry noticeably more thickness, and this one tucks under a cuff without the ridge you might expect. The two-tone execution pairs steel with rose gold PVD on the case, bracelet and hands, which means the warm and cool tones run consistently from the dial out to the wrist rather than stopping at the edge of the case. Against the brown dial, the rose gold baton indices read clearly without relying on strong light to do it. The bracelet integrates well at 24mm, proportionate to the 44mm case, and the push-button deployant adjusts by removing individual links rather than using a friction micro-adjuster — a more stable arrangement that holds its setting over time.

Learn more about Police
Police began in Italy in 1983 as an eyewear brand under the Vogue and later De Rigo groups, and built its identity on sunglasses worn by film and music figures through the 1980s and 1990s.
The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a specialist watch manufacturer and sold through jewellers and department stores alongside the eyewear and fragrance.
Design follows the label: heavy cases, dark PVD finishes, exposed screws and industrial detailing, skull and heraldic motifs, and a masculine, deliberately loud aesthetic that changes with the season rather than the decade.
Movements are quartz, occasionally multi-function, and prices sit in the fashion-watch bracket.
Taken as an accessory that matches a particular look, the range does what it sets out to. It is not a watchmaking company and does not present itself as one.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
No. It is hand-wound, so it needs winding every day or two but never a battery.
What size strap does it take?
24mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 52mm, which suits wrists from roughly 17.5cm (7 inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
