The Kismet sits firmly in Police's tradition of oversized fashion watches built for men who want the case to announce itself — at 47mm across and 54mm lug to lug, it fills a substantial wrist and then some. The multi-register black dial carries day and date sub-dials, giving it the visual weight of a chronograph without the complexity of one. At 12mm thick, it will stack above the cuff rather than slide under it, which suits the aesthetic honestly: this is a watch that presents itself rather than disappears. The black leather strap and monochrome dial keep the whole thing coherent, letting the case size do the work.

Learn more about Police
Police began in Italy in 1983 as an eyewear brand under the Vogue and later De Rigo groups, and built its identity on sunglasses worn by film and music figures through the 1980s and 1990s.
The watches are licensed rather than made in-house, produced under agreement by a specialist watch manufacturer and sold through jewellers and department stores alongside the eyewear and fragrance.
Design follows the label: heavy cases, dark PVD finishes, exposed screws and industrial detailing, skull and heraldic motifs, and a masculine, deliberately loud aesthetic that changes with the season rather than the decade.
Movements are quartz, occasionally multi-function, and prices sit in the fashion-watch bracket.
Taken as an accessory that matches a particular look, the range does what it sets out to. It is not a watchmaking company and does not present itself as one.

Frequently asked questions, and things you should know about this watch
Can I swim with it?
Showering yes, swimming no. 50m covers splashes and brief immersion, but a swimming stroke generates well above the pressure that figure describes.
Will the glass scratch?
It can, over time. Mineral glass handles daily wear but will pick up fine scratches that sapphire would not.
Does it need a battery?
Yes. It is quartz, so expect a battery change every two to three years at a jeweller.
What size strap does it take?
24mm. Any strap of that width will fit, and on most modern watches quick-release bars make the swap a two-minute job with no tools.
Will it fit my wrist?
Lug-to-lug is 54mm, which suits wrists from roughly 18.5cm (7¼ inches) upward.
Lug-to-lug decides fit more than case diameter does.
Is it a men's or women's watch?
Listed as men's.
