The SRV name is its own brief history lesson: Sapphire Rectangle V, a rectangular case with a faceted crystal and five-bar water resistance, drawn from a 1975 Tissot design that was itself reaching back to the house's rectangular watches of the 1920s. What you are looking at is a silhouette with a century of precedent behind it, reissued without apology. At 30 x 21.8mm the case sits narrow on the wrist, which is exactly what a rectangular dress watch should do — close to the skin, unhurried in its proportions. The white mother-of-pearl dial carries only two Roman numeral markers, leaving most of its surface to catch light on its own terms. Yellow gold PVD runs consistently across both case and bracelet, and the quick-release fitting means the bracelet can be swapped without tools.
