At 51mm wide and 59mm tall, this is a substantial watch with a presence to match. The case is stainless steel finished in black ion-plating, 12mm thick, and fitted with crown guards flanking the stem. The anthracite dial carries baton hour markers, a single Arabic numeral at 12 o'clock, and luminescent hands, with three chronograph sub-dials tracking seconds, minutes, and tenths of a second. The date sits at three o'clock. A mineral crystal sits above, and a black IP bracelet with a push-button deployment clasp completes the look.

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in Molvena in 1978, building a denim brand on deliberate irreverence. The watches, produced under licence by Fossil Group, carry that attitude directly.
Where most fashion watches aim for restraint, Diesel does the opposite: oversized cases frequently past 50mm, blacked-out finishes, exposed screws, multiple crowns, and dials that prioritise visual impact over legibility. The Mr Daddy models stack four time zones onto a single dial.
Whether that appeals is a matter of taste, but the design intent is consistent and unmistakable, which is more than can be said for much of the category.
