The Divers Date marks sixty years since Oris first built a watch for diving, and it arrives as a genuine reworking rather than a cosmetic refresh. The ceramic bezel insert resists the scratching and fading that plagued earlier anodised aluminium, water resistance doubles to 200 metres, and the lug-to-lug drops from 47.6mm to around 46.5mm — small adjustments that add up to a watch that fits a wider range of wrists than the Sixty-Five it replaces. At 12.1mm thick it is a full millimetre slimmer than its predecessor despite the deeper rating, and at 39mm it sits without drama under a cuff. The warm beige dial is matte and calm, with bevelled applied indices that catch directional light in a way a flat marker never does. Through the mineral-glass exhibition caseback, the red rotor of the Sellita-based Calibre 733 is visible in motion — a detail that rewards the kind of idle attention a watch on the wrist naturally gets. The set includes a Tropic-style rubber strap alongside the steel bracelet, and swapping between them requires no tools, so the watch adapts from desk to water and back without fuss.
