The redesign behind this watch has an unusual origin: Oris handed the brief to Lena Huwiler, a 24-year-old product design engineer, with the stated aim of pulling the Artelier line toward a younger audience. The case shrank from 40mm to 38mm, and the dial received a new radial texture with applied wedge indices in place of the older, more conservative layout — a small frameless date aperture above six o'clock being the only interruption to an otherwise spare white surface. The result reads less as a legacy dress watch and more as something you might actually wear daily. At 10.9mm deep and 44mm lug to lug, it sits closer to the wrist than many automatics in this category, and the proportions hold up in either a shirt cuff or a jacket sleeve. The H-link bracelet suits the cleaner dial rather than working against it. Through the display caseback, the Calibre 733 — a Sellita SW200-1 derivative — runs reliably at 28,800vph and delivers a 41-hour reserve; the red rotor is a consistent Oris house detail, and it is visible here against the movement. Nothing about the mechanics surprises, but solid Swiss automatic finishing is the right answer for a watch designed to be worn rather than exhibited.
