The PRX is a revival of a 1978 Tissot integrated-bracelet design — a 35mm stainless steel watch built around the brand's first quartz movement, intended to be precise and robust enough for 100 metres of water resistance. Tissot brought it back in 2021, initially in quartz, then opened the line to automatic movements. This blue-dialled 35mm version arrived in 2023 as the smaller sibling to the 40mm Powermatic 80, sharing its movement, layout and finishing. One quick way to tell automatics from quartz within the PRX family: the waffle-textured dial belongs to the self-winding models. The movement is ETA's calibre 80.111, wound by the wrist and capable of running for 80 hours unworn — three days on the bedside table without losing time. It uses a Nivachron balance spring, a titanium alloy Tissot developed specifically to resist the magnetic fields that ordinary steel springs cannot. At 35mm with an integrated bracelet, it wears larger than the diameter suggests: the first links do not articulate, so the effective length across the wrist runs closer to 45mm. Wrists under about 17cm will find the fit considered; on larger wrists the proportions tip the other way. The satin-finish bracelet tapers significantly toward the clasp, which softens the look without interrupting the integrated-bracelet line.
